Please don't be put off by the knitting, before creating the aunties I was pretty much a knitting squares or long oblongs! Lots of my students were the same too!

You have access to the Preparartion Module as soon as you enrol so you can get started on your learning immediately. You will also gain access to the Facebook group upon enrolment. New modules are released every Friday over the duration of the course. I do this so students don't feel overwhelmed. Each one includes step-by-step video guidance. We’ll meet weekly on Zoom to discuss and share progress. Students are always at different stages and that isn't a problem. Everything is designed to be self-paced, so you can learn in a way that works for your schedule.

Yes! You’ll be invited to join our private Facebook group — a warm, supportive space where you can share your work, ask for feedback, and connect with other creatives on the same journey. As an Elsie Community Member you will also have access to any future course lives lessons I deliver. Many students say the community is one of their favourite parts of the course.

No — materials and tools are not included. You will however find that a lot of what I suggest you will have or are easily available. A full resource list will be available inside the course portal upon enrolment. You’ll also have the option to purchase bespoke wool kits directly from Flock and Skein, our trusted partner. All kit details are included in the Preparation Workbook available upon enrolment.

You won’t be going it alone! This course includes detailed video tutorials, weekly live Zoom sessions, a fabulous creative community of Elsie lovers!, and access to a dedicated online learning portal where you can learn at your own pace and ask questions within each lesson.

We meet once a week during the course to check in, share progress, and answer questions. These live sessions are friendly, informal, and designed to support your learning. Can’t attend live? No worries — all sessions are recorded and available to watch anytime. You’ll also receive two bonus sessions: one before the course begins, and one wrap-up session the week after it ends.

The teaching materials, videos, and written content in this course are also just for your personal use — they may not be copied, shared, or resold.

From the techniques you will learn, however, you’re free to create and even sell your own original characters. Elsie herself is just for you to enjoy.
