Meet Bertie!
Bertie began life as a wobbly sketch in my notebook (I’m not a natural drawer!
Somehow, with a little imagination, he became a quirky, woolly sheep with a trailing thread of wool — like a piece of his own story following him.
But somehow, between a few wobbly lines and a lot of imagination, this quirky little sheep began to take shape.
He’s based on a sheep… but not quite like any you’ve seen before. His head’s a bit of an odd shape, his body isn’t “perfect” — and that’s exactly his magic.
Bertie feels like he belongs amongst fairy folk and woodland creatures — the sort of character who would wander between toadstools, chatting to hedgehogs and gathering lost buttons.
My friend Sarah gave him his name, and from the moment I started making him, I knew he’d be the perfect way to share my message....
